Sam's Ride for Peace 2015

Join Sam’s 2015 Ride for Peace

Once again, 89-year-old WW II veteran Sam Winstead will be riding his bicycle from Raleigh, NC, to Washington, DC, to bring his message of peace to our lawmakers. This will be Sam's 4th consecutive Ride for Peace, and an opportunity for cyclists of all levels of fitness and experience to join this 8-day, 350-mile ride May 9th thru May 16th. Riders can participate for one mile, one day, or for the entire joyful experience.

This year, Sam’s Ride for Peace will start at the Bell Tower on the NC State campus (2100 Hillsborough St., Raleigh) at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 9. Riders will travel to the NC State Capitol at One East Edenton St. After a brief stop, riders will continue their journey, arriving in Washington, DC, on May 16.

If you won’t be riding, please consider joining us on Saturday morning, May 9th, for the grand send-off, and please spread the word to help build the 2015 Ride for Peace.

Peace,
Sam, George, Ahmed, John, and Leedom
