RIDE FOR PEACE
PARTICIPANTS NEEDED FOR 360 MILE ANTI-WAR BIKE RIDE

APRIL 29, Raleigh, NC – World War II Marine combat veteran Samuel Winstead, who is riding his bicycle on a 360 mile Ride for Peace, is accepting applications for co-riders to join his anti-war journey that leaves Sunday April 29th from Raleigh, NC bound for Washington, DC.

In a true ‘Where The Rubber Meets The Road’ testament, Mr. Winstead, who is 86, anticipates making the trip in just seven days and intends to arrive at the mall in Washington, DC on May 5th.

Interested parties can download applications on the North Carolina Triangle Veterans for Peace website at www.ncveteransforpeace.org.

The purpose of the trip is “to ask our leaders to stop wars” says Mr. Winstead, whose grandson has relayed his first-hand experiences of a war that is putting America many trillion dollars in debt while destroying  a beautiful country and priceless artifacts of the World’s oldest civilization.
